Next stop Boston

Our last breakfast in New York with our two happy kids!

The trip from New York to Boston went fine. We took the Amtrak train, and were very pleased not having to drive out of New York in a car! Staying 4 hours in a train is however long, especially if you are a girl of 2 1/2 and refuses to take a nap. We all made it to the Boston South station, and finally made it to the Hotel Ames in the city center.

Our hotel here in Boston is very nice and we live - with a little view over the habour - on the 12th floor.

Late afternoon Gareth came to pick us up at the hotel. Gareth and Kirstine studied at the same college and faculty in Cambridge almost 15 years ago, and we have kept in contact ever since. Gareth took us to his and his wife Sarahs house north of Boston, where they live with two cats (Milo and CloƩ). We had a nice pizza-dinner in their garden, which is VERY impressive. They grow everything possible there, and even had aspergus. Tue and I certainly have a few things to learn here ...

The cats were very nice, and the kids loved them. Marie-Louise now wants to have a cat ;-)
